Declare The Truth Over Yourself

📖 Scriptures to Declare Over Myself in Times of Abuse and Confusion

(I Encourage you to say these out loud, slowly, even if your heart isn’t ready to believe them yet. God’s Word will work even in the weakest whisper.)

💎 My Identity in Christ

“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”
— Psalm 139:14, KJV

I am not worthless. I am not too much or too broken.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made by the God who calls me His own.

God’s Nearness in My Pain

“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18, KJV

Declaration:
Even when I feel alone, God is near.
He is close to me in the dark moments and will never abandon me.

God Does Not Want Me to Be Hurt

“The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.”
— Psalm 103:6, KJV

Declaration:
God is not ignoring what’s happening to me.
He is my defender, and He fights for my freedom.

God’s Protection and Wisdom

“A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.”
— Proverbs 22:3, KJV

Declaration:
I will not feel guilty for taking steps to protect myself.
God gives me wisdom and courage to walk in truth and safety.

Healing and Restoration Are God’s Will

“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
— Psalm 147:3, KJV

Declaration:
God is healing my heart.
He is binding up every wound and restoring what was lost.

Healing Prayer for Someone in an Abusive Relationship

Heavenly Father,

I lift up my heart, body and mind to You right now.
You see the pain I carry, the confusion I wrestle with, and the longing I have for love to be real and safe.

Lord, surround me with Your protection.
Wrap me in Your wisdom like a shield.
Break through every lie that tells me I am unworthy, that I have to stay, or that this pain is my fault.

I pray in the name of Jesus that every chain of fear and manipulation be broken.
I speak life where there has been despair, and truth where confusion has made me question my value.

Let Your Word ring louder than any insult ever spoken over me.
Let Your Spirit rise up in me with strength and clarity.
Give me courage to take the next step—whether it’s speaking out, asking for help, or simply admitting, “This is not love.”

Lord, You are the God who rescues.
So I ask You to rescue my me from this cycle of harm.
You are the God who heals.
So I ask You to heal my body, mind, and soul.
You are the God of restoration.
So I ask You to restore everything the enemy has tried to steal from my life.

In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
